PVC coated polyester combines a woven reinforcement with a coated surface. The polyester base carries much of the mechanical load, while the PVC layer supports waterproofing, surface durability, cleaning and heat-weld fabrication.
For industrial buyers, the material name alone is not enough. Base fabric construction, total weight, coating formulation, surface treatment and fabrication method should be treated as one system.

A heavier fabric does not automatically solve a weak hem, badly placed hardware or repeated abrasion point.
Large covers may require multiple panels. Weld direction, overlap and seam placement should avoid unnecessary stress concentration and water collection.
Webbing, folded hems, rope edges and corner reinforcement can distribute tension better than relying on the coated sheet alone.
Spacing should follow the real attachment pattern, wind exposure and tarp geometry. More hardware is not always better if load distribution is poor.
Identify rails, cargo corners, frame contact and drag areas before production so local wear patches or protection can be designed where needed.
State the required finished dimensions. Hems and seams consume material, so a nominal cut size and the final usable size should not be treated as identical.
Very large or stiff covers need a realistic packing and handling plan. Packaging should support warehouse movement, installation and repeat OEM supply.
There is no single material for every job. The right choice depends on service duration, handling, breathability, weight and budget.
