Compact & Medium Pool
A bridge between mini inflatable pool products and the main large-size range. Useful for small gardens, patios, entry price points and lower shipping volume.
Develop a large inflatable pool range around verified usable space, water capacity, wall structure and retail positioning. DERFLEX supports brands, importers and distributors with custom 4ft–20ft and 1.2m–5m concepts, PVC or TPU material directions, private-label graphics, accessories and production-ready specifications.
In the inflatable pool market, the word large can describe a 10ft family pool, a long rectangular lounge pool, a 12ft round top-ring pool or a giant 18ft seasonal pool. The commercial intent is consistent: buyers want more usable water area, greater occupancy potential or a deeper cooling experience than compact and medium products provide.
For OEM development, outside length alone is not enough. Thick inflatable walls reduce the internal area; built-in seats consume floor space; higher waterlines increase side-wall loading; and a larger drain or filter connection may be needed as capacity rises. DERFLEX therefore develops large, extra large, XL, XXL and oversized inflatable pool concepts from the inside out—starting with actual use, internal dimensions and structure.
These searches belong to the same buying journey. A retailer comparing a small inflatable pool with an extra large inflatable pool, or comparing an 8ft, 10ft and 12ft inflatable pool, is still deciding how much pool fits the customer, garden, carton and price tier. A deep inflatable pool may prioritize waterline and seated immersion, while a wide pool prioritizes usable floor area. A single strong category page creates a clearer range than thin pages for every nominal dimension.
A coherent good-better-best range gives each pool a clear role. The following directions can be customized as one hero SKU or as a coordinated collection sharing colors, valves, graphics and packaging logic.
A bridge between mini inflatable pool products and the main large-size range. Useful for small gardens, patios, entry price points and lower shipping volume.
The core family and adult category, balancing usable space, manageable setup, practical drainage and a carton that still works for seasonal retail or e-commerce.
A stronger value step for whole-family play, adult lounge use and larger backyard spaces. Wall geometry, floor span and drainage become more important.
A high-impact retail or club-channel product with more interior area, larger accessory requirements and greater emphasis on multi-chamber stability and shipping-cube control.
For statement products, very large round pools, long rectangular formats and selected commercial programs. The specification should be validated as a complete structure, not scaled up from a small pool drawing.
A custom size inflatable pool can prioritize immersion depth, adult legroom, group seating, narrow-garden fit or a long play area. Publish the actual waterline and usable inside measurements.
The bands below are category-planning references rather than fixed performance claims. Final outside dimensions, internal dimensions, wall height, waterline and capacity are confirmed after drawings and prototypes.
| Nominal Size Search | Approx. Metric | Typical Category Position | Development Focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4ft / 5ft inflatable pool | 1.2m / 1.5m | Mini, small or compact inflatable pool | Shallow water play, easy storage, low carton volume and simple inflation. |
| 6ft / 7ft inflatable pool | 1.8m / about 2m | Compact to medium inflatable pool | Usable inside area, soft wall comfort, drain placement and entry-level family positioning. |
| 8ft / 9ft inflatable pool | 2.4m / about 2.7m | Large family or adult pool | Interior room, multi-chamber layout, faster drainage and optional pump bundle. |
| 10ft inflatable pool / large 10ft inflatable pool | About 3m | Core large inflatable pool | Measured waterline, wall support, filter compatibility and whole-family value. |
| 12ft inflatable pool | About 3.7m–4m | XL or high-capacity pool | Floor span, side-wall behavior, larger drain, ground protection and package weight. |
| 14ft / 15ft inflatable pool | About 4.3m / 4.6m | Extra large or XXL inflatable pool | Reinforcement strategy, filtration package, setup instructions and shipping-cube optimization. |
| 16ft inflatable pool | About 4.9m / custom 5m | XXL or giant inflatable pool | Whole-structure validation, water loading, perimeter clearance and robust accessories. |
| 18ft / 20ft inflatable pool | About 5.5m / 6.1m | Giant or oversized inflatable pool | Project-specific engineering, stronger material zones, controlled setup and destination-market review. |
Common metric briefs also include 1.2m, 1.5m, 1.8m, 2m, 2.5m, 3m, 4m and 5m inflatable pool concepts. “8 foot inflatable pool”, “10 foot inflatable pool” and “12 foot inflatable pool” are consumer-language variants of the same nominal dimensions.
A 100 gallon inflatable pool and a 500 gallon inflatable pool may have similar outside length if wall thickness, shape and water depth differ. Capacity should therefore be calculated from usable internal dimensions and the intended fill line, then checked with the inflated prototype.
Enter the usable internal length, width and water depth—not the outside dimensions. The result is a planning estimate for early product briefs, packaging claims and pump selection.
Curved walls, seats, rounded corners, floor rise and real fill lines reduce the actual volume. Final capacity wording should come from the approved finished sample.
Planning tool only. Verify the finished pool at the approved fill line before publishing capacity claims.
Common buying filters include 100 gallon inflatable pool, 150 gallon inflatable pool, 200 gallon inflatable pool, 250 gallon inflatable pool, 300 gallon inflatable pool and 500 gallon inflatable pool. These labels are useful for range navigation, but a large capacity inflatable pool should still publish verified dimensions and a clearly defined fill line.
Compact adult cooling pools, small family pools and deeper but space-efficient formats. Focus on interior dimensions rather than an exaggerated outside footprint.
A practical band for many large rectangular inflatable pools with enough usable room for family or adult lounge positioning while keeping setup manageable.
Requires greater attention to drainage time, wall behavior, ground preparation, pump or filter compatibility and clear fill-line instructions.
Large pools depend on the interaction between walls, floor, air chambers, weld paths, valves, drains and reinforced zones. DERFLEX can coordinate finished-product development with suitable flexible-material directions.
A heavy duty large inflatable pool is not created by increasing thickness alone. Pool dimensions, water depth, air pressure, chamber geometry, weld width, floor contact and folding behavior must be considered together.
Suitable for many seasonal consumer pools where soft touch, compact packing, decorative printing and cost-efficient sealing are priorities. Film chemistry and thickness are selected around the target market and structure.
Textile-supported PVC can be considered for larger walls, structured seats, reinforced floor zones, commercial-use concepts or products requiring improved dimensional stability and tear resistance.
TPU-based structures may suit premium products needing flexibility, cold-fold performance, abrasion resistance or a differentiated material story. Welding and water-contact requirements remain project-specific.
| Specification Area | OEM Options | Why It Matters for Large Pools |
|---|---|---|
| Pool format | Rectangular, round, oval, square, long lounge, deep soaking or custom geometry | Shape determines usable area, weld layout, wall behavior and shelf differentiation. |
| Air chambers | Stacked rings, separate upper rim, independent seats, segmented walls or reinforced supports | Chamber design affects pressure balance, shape control, inflation sequence and localized failure risk. |
| Floor construction | Soft film, textured surface, reinforced ground-contact layer or optional groundsheet | The floor faces abrasion, folding marks, cleaning and concentrated contact with uneven ground. |
| Water handling | Drain plug, extended drain hose, quick-release valve, pump or filter connection | Higher capacity changes fill time, emptying time, maintenance expectations and accessory selection. |
| Surface and graphics | Solid color, color blocking, printed patterns, matte, gloss or embossed texture | Large walls create a strong visual canvas but require artwork review after welding and inflation. |
| Retail bundle | Electric or manual pump, filter, cover, groundsheet, repair patch, bag and instructions | The accessory set should match water volume, use frequency, channel and target price. |
| Private label | Logo, warning print, barcode, multilingual manual, color box and master carton | Clear size, capacity and safety communication reduces customer confusion and return risk. |
DERFLEX connects coated-material experience with the practical questions that appear when a pool becomes larger: how to hold wall shape, where to reinforce, which surface can be welded consistently, how to keep graphics aligned after inflation, and which data must be frozen before repeat production.
The objective is not to promise one universal material or a standard “giant pool.” It is to build a reviewable product brief that fits the target user, channel, price point, destination market and production process.
Send the intended shape, outside and usable inside dimensions, waterline, capacity target, user positioning, chamber layout, seats or canopy, material preference, graphics, accessories, packaging, destination countries, expected quantity and launch schedule. A sketch or reference photo helps the team distinguish a deep pool from a wide lounge pool or a high-capacity ring pool.
Define size, capacity, structure, material and commercial requirements before bulk production begins.
A more precise brief produces a more useful quotation and reduces sampling rounds.
Family, adults, couples, children with supervision, rental guests or commercial visitors require different internal space, wall height, seating and labeling.
More outside length, more usable floor, greater water depth, additional seats or a high-capacity retail claim are different design goals.
Backyard, garden, patio, ground-level event site or rental operation affects footprint, drainage, durability and instructions.
Confirm fill source, drain route, filter or pump needs, drying method and storage conditions before finalizing the product bundle.
Retail shelf, wholesale club, e-commerce and distributor channels have different carton dimensions, photography, claim and accessory expectations.
Agree material checks, weld review, air retention, water fill, drainage, user-space validation, artwork and packaging inspection before production.
Six closely related internal pages help buyers compare finished-product categories and material decisions.
Practical answers for product managers, importers, wholesalers, retailers and private-label brands.
There is no universal threshold. In seasonal retail, 8ft–10ft products are often described as large, while 12ft–15ft may be marketed as XL or XXL and 16ft–20ft as giant or oversized. The more reliable specification includes outside size, usable inside dimensions, wall height, waterline and verified capacity.
Custom dimension programs can be discussed in both imperial and metric units. The final structure depends on shape, intended users, water depth, material, air-chamber design, accessories, packaging and target market. A drawing and functional prototype are used to confirm the specification.
Early estimates can be calculated from usable internal length, width and intended water depth, with an adjustment for curved walls, seats and rounded corners. The final published capacity should be measured or validated on the approved finished sample at the stated fill line.
Soft PVC film is common in seasonal consumer pools. Reinforced PVC coated fabric may be considered for larger walls, structured sections or more demanding use. TPU film or TPU coated fabric can support selected premium directions. No one material is best for every design; the decision must match pool size, chamber structure, welding process, folding and target price.
These accessories can be reviewed as part of the product bundle. The pump or filter flow, electrical plug, hose connection, drain design, cover dimensions, groundsheet and packaging should be matched to the finished pool volume and destination market.
Custom colors, printed graphics, logo placement, warning panels, multilingual instructions, barcode labels, color boxes and master cartons can be coordinated. Artwork should be approved after reviewing how the material stretches, welds, inflates and folds.
Send DERFLEX your target dimensions, capacity, shape, waterline, material preference, features, accessories, artwork, destination market and estimated quantity. The team can review a practical OEM direction for sampling and quotation.
