There is no universal “best” fumigation tarp material. The useful question is which construction delivers the required gas barrier while remaining practical for the way the sheet will be handled and reused.
A reinforced PVC-coated fabric can provide strong tear resistance, weldability, cleanability and repeat-use durability. It is usually heavier than thin film and should be evaluated for the specific fumigant and permeability requirement.
Reinforced polyethylene structures can be lighter and economical, making them useful for large sheets when an appropriate gas-barrier grade is available. Long-term abrasion, seam quality and repairability should be reviewed.
