Product definition
A portable air route for changing work zones
Portable ventilation duct is flexible ducting used with a movable blower, extractor or temporary air-moving unit. Instead of installing fixed sheet-metal ductwork, the crew positions the fan in an accessible location and extends the flexible duct toward the area that needs fresh air, exhaust, cooling or drying airflow.
This makes the product relevant to contractors, safety-equipment distributors, fan manufacturers, rental fleets, shipyards, plant maintenance teams and industrial buyers who need a duct that can be packed, carried, connected and repositioned repeatedly.
Why the duct structure matters
A portable hose is not automatically suitable for every direction of airflow. When the blower pushes air through the duct, internal pressure helps keep a light layflat construction open. When a fan pulls air through the hose, negative pressure can collapse an unsupported tube. For extraction duty, a steel-wire helix or another shape-supporting structure is normally evaluated.
Why the connection matters just as much
Nominal diameter alone does not define compatibility. The fan lip, guard position, flange depth, clamp space and chosen cuff all influence whether a portable ventilation hose installs quickly and stays in place. DERFLEX can review photos, dimensional sketches or an existing sample before confirming the cuff and connector.
