Longer rolls can reduce roll changes and support continuous conversion, but the same width and GSM will roughly double the material mass compared with a 50 m roll. Handling equipment, roll core strength, packaging and maximum roll diameter should be checked first.

Do not select roll length before checking roll weight.

Choose Roll Width From the Finished Tarp—Not the Other Way Around

The most economical roll is often the one that improves total conversion yield, even if its price per square meter is not the lowest.

Map the finished width

List finished tarp dimensions, hems, pockets, reinforced edges and any mandatory seam locations. Confirm whether the final width can fit within one usable roll width.
