What Is Spill Containment Berm Fabric?

Spill containment berm fabric is a reinforced coated textile used to manufacture flexible secondary containment systems. A woven polyester or nylon base carries the mechanical load, while a PVC or TPU coating creates a cleanable, weldable and liquid-resistant surface. The fabric is cut and joined into a floor, sidewall and corner system that temporarily contains leakage from drums, IBC totes, machinery, vehicles, tanks or transfer operations.

The material must do more than resist water. A practical berm construction may be folded for transport, dragged across the ground, exposed to tire or equipment contact, cleaned after use and stressed around welded corners.
